Services

  • Many fruit trees thrive with summer pruning for size and winter pruning for shape. With proper feeding and an understanding of backyard orchard care I can manage your trees for their best yield and size within your space, nurturing the long term success of your tasty investments.

Annual rose pruning, like our fruit trees, will set them up for long term health, vigor, and best blooms. Annual soil feeding and monthly applications of foliar feed keeps them at their peak through the growing season

  • From weekly to monthly visits that suit your garden, I can get you on a schedule for:

    • pruning, deadwooding, and shaping of perennial shrubs and small trees

    • weeding

    • hand watering

    • irrigation maintenance and audit

    • composting

    • mulching

    • fertilization

    • small planting projects or updates

    • general care

This is fine detail work that is done with respect for the balance between aesthetics and the long term structural stability and health of your plants, the soil, and the ecosystem.

I do not use power tools, pesticides, or herbicides in the garden. Rather, I maintain and cultivate biological diversity and balance through the use of hand tools and regenerative gardening methods.

  • The garden is more pleasurable when we work together in it. Some of my favorite memories are talking and learning from and about each other while working with my colleagues and volunteers in the garden. If you’d like support in working together to gain skills and knowledge, or would like an assessment and guidance from fresh eyes on how to move forward when you are stuck or need help, I can support you there.

This may include site visits and planting plans, assessments of current horticultural practices with recommendations, small planting projects, nursery visits, or less frequent services offered in regular garden maintenance.

  • Pruning and coaching fees are $100/hr with a $400 minimum.

Continuing garden care with weekly, bimonthly or monthly visits is $80/hr with a four hour minimum.
